Ambiguous date and time formats

In the Ambiguous formats dialog, specify which potentially ambiguous formats copy2calendar should recognize when analyzing textual data.

A date or time format is considered potentially ambiguous when it cannot be distinguished

  • from date or time information with a different meaning or
  • from other types of numeric information, such as postal codes, telephone numbers etc.

It is advisable to select only the date and time strings actually required for recognizing data from your sources.

Example:

If you want to recognize the date string 12-05-09 as either format YY-MM-DD or format DD-MM-YY, copy2calendar will ask you how to interpret the date each time an ambiguous interpretation is found.
